Cross-platform play for A Way Out is only possible between players on the same platform. So if you have an Xbox One, you can only play with someone with an Xbox One. The same goes for PlayStation.
There is no cross-platform play for PC, however. So if you have the game on PC, you can only play with someone else who also has the game on PC.
